Creating My Own Background

I have a confession to make...even though creating this background was fun, it's not my most favorite thing to do!! I have issues with lack of control, and believe me, you have very little when creating a background this way!!! I smooshed an ink pad onto a sheet of acetate, spritz it with water, then smeared it onto a piece of watercolor paper that was also wet. The color will go the way it wants to, hence my displeasure!!! Hahaha! I ended up using 3 shades of the blue/green ink because I knew I wanted to create a baby card. I even flicked on some gold shimmer paint that Stampin' Up sold in their holiday catalog. The heat gun even got a workout drying the watercolor paper in between color applications. My I say, I like the final project, the process just gave me cause for concern.
