Shadow Technique for Sentiments

 

Yes, you are seeing varieties of the same card, each being stepped up. And check out the sentiment, especially the word friend. That is a Shadow Technique that I shared how to do on my video below. It's easier being done with a stamp positioning tool like the Stamparatus, but it can also be done with a clear acrylic block. Now the measurements are all the same for the papers, just a few added extras with each stepped up level. The 4th and final card I even did some sewing on it. Watch the video for a few tips and tricks when using your sewing machine for card making.

Soft Succulent card base - 11 x 4-1/4", scored and folded at 5-1/2"
In the Wild DSP - 5-1/4 x 1", 2 x 4"

Your Biggest Fan Cards

 

During our team meeting last week, we were challenged to create cards using specific dimensions of DSP. Well I couldn't stop at just one set, I ended up making 3, all using different pattern papers. Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

 

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly craft subscription kit by Stampin' Up! I'm a bit late getting to the February kit, Safari Celebration. It's an adorable kit full of celebratory images and sentiments. 1 Sketch + Retiring In Colors = 5 Fabulous Cards

 

Each week on our team Facebook page challenges are posted. Last week was a sketch and to use the retiring In Colors. I couldn't resist creating one of each color! These were simple to mass produce using the Stamparatus and the Daisy Garden background stamp. Check out the video below for all the deets.
