Blessed Christmas Wishes

Last week I wrote about a weekly Facebook Christmas card making challenge and here is round 2, add a bow. I pulled out a retired stamp set that didn't see enough ink and decided it needed some lovin'!! As you know, I'm a lazy stamper and coloring is simply not my thing, so clean and simple this became using stamps, ink and paper...and a bow! I went with one of each of the new In Colors and I must admit, I really like how they turned out. Now to see what the new challenge will be!!

Monochromatic Christmas Card

FYI, Tuesday will be 2 weeks since my knee replacement and I'm feeling pretty good!! It's amazing how worn out I get when I do simple things, like take a shower!! Not much creating is getting done, need to work up my stamina I guess. Hahaha!!

This card is for our Facebook group's weekly challenge -- monochromatic. I decided to once again make a Christmas card and go with gray for my color. This card uses Basic Grey, Smokey Slate, and Silver. Simple yet classy. The ornament from the stamp set Lots of Cheer was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and the swirlies colored in with Wink of Stella.

Smokey Slate card base -- 11 x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2
Basic Grey -- 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Smokey Slate -- 5 x 3 3/4
Sentiment Strip
     Smokey Slate -- 4 1/4 x 1/2
     Basic Grey -- 4 1/4 x 5/8

Peace & Happiness

Wow, two days in a row I've posted something!!! Don't get too used to it!! Hahaha!

Just wanted to share a card I created for our team's creative challenge -- an any occasion card using an embossing folder and embellishment. I love the Woodland embossing folder! After embossing on Crumb Cake cardstock, I lightly sponged some Crumb Cake ink to really make the trees pop. My embellishments are the Gold Shimmer Ribbon and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots, both of which are part of the Christmastime is Here Product Suite. This product suite is stunning, you should really check it out.

Soft Suede card base -- 11 x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2
Cherry Cobbler -- 5 1/4 x 4
Crumb Cake -- 5 x 3 3/4
Mossy Meadow -- 3 3/4 x 1 5/8
Christmastime is Here DSP -- 3 3/4 x 1 1/2
