Christmas Card Challenge #5 -- A Sketch

Here's is my latest Christmas card challenge card for this week, and it's a sketch. I do love my sketches!! The only thing I changed was the placement of the embellishments. On the original sketch, they were placed at the bottom right. Well, I wanted my sentiment there so I switched it to upper left. The change balanced it up nicely!! The DSP I used came from the holiday catalog and is called Come to Gather. It was a fall themed paper pack but the colors were what drew me in, Pretty Peacock and Mint Macaron. Yes, my stamp set is also retired but, shame on me, never saw ink...so now it has!!

Black & Gold Christmas Challenge

No photo description available.

I'm running a little late with my weekly Christmas card challenge card, and this one was right up my alley...Black and Gold. How perfect for a Pittsburgh sports fan, we're all about our black & gold!!!

I pulled out a piece of retired DSP and cut it into 5 1/4 x 4 inch pieces and created 6 cards. I used the Pine Tree punch to first punch out the tree on gold foil. I then, using a circle die, cut out the negative image. So fun to create!!!!!

Measurements:
Thick Whisper White card base: 11 x 4 1/4, scored and folded at 5 1/2
Basic Black:  5 3/8 x 4 1/8
DSP:  5 1/4 x 4

Weekly Christmas Card Challenge - Use a Stencil

Even though the stamp set and coordinating punch are retired, I still wanted to share my latest weekly Christmas Card Challenge where we had to use a stencil. The stencil is one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks from the annual catalog. Believe it or not, I went traditional with my holiday colors (that is so not like me!!), Call me Clover (sponged over the stencil in an ombre effect) and Lovely Lipstick. A little pop of gold with the metallic pearls and this simple card is complete. Can't wait to see what our next challenge will be!!!

Measurements:
Thick Whisper White card base - 11 x 4 1/4, scored and folded at 5 1/2
Call Me Clover - 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Whisper White - 5 x 3 3/4
