Limited Supplies Challenge

Southern Serenade

What a slacker!!!!! I had this card made last week and never posted it!! It uses the beautiful set Southern Serenade that carried over from the Occasions catalog. In case you're wondering, yes, I colored this, says the lady who prefers not to color!! Gotta say, the SU blends are wonderful and they blend so beautifully. There are lots of new colors in the new catalog, however, they will not be available until mid-June. The layer behind my flower stem I started out with a watercolor wash of Mint Macaron. It just needed something more so I stamped the lacy image from the set, also in Mint Macaron, right on top...perfect!! I also added some Wink of Stella onto the flowers for that subtle pop of sparkle. Now into the mail this card must go, a good friend is having a birthday next week.

'Tis the Season

It's never too early to start making Christmas cards. In fact, someone posted on Facebook there are 30 weeks until Christmas!!! I've since unfriended them!! Hahaha!!! I went with a One Sheet Wonder that I saw on a Facebook Live to make 12 (yes, I said 12) of these cards. The panel with the reindeer measures 3 x 4, allowing you to get 12 pieces out of a 12 x 12 sheet of pattern paper. Thought I would work on a paper pack, Be Merry, that has retired and is already sold out!!! For the green layer and scalloped oval, I used Always Artichoke which is also retiring and the inventory is low...so buy yours quickly!!! Now the metallic enamel shapes are retiring, available, and are discounted!!! I plan on making more of these with other papers from this pack and make up some gift sets with a variety of Christmas cards. Our neighbor always keeps an eye on our cat when we go on vacation so I thought I would make one up for her. She's such a dear!!
