Tonight I participated in a Mystery Stamping Hour on Facebook...and talk about fun!!! We were given a list of supplies ahead of time and tonight step by step instructions on what to do with those supplies. I really had so much fun!!! The colors I used are Garden Green, Pretty Peacock, and Shaded Spruce. Don't recognize that stamp set?? Well, you will, because it's a beaut and must have. It's called Forever Fern and is coming out in the new Stampin' Up! catalog starting June 3rd. Need a catalog? Let me know and I'll get one sent out to you!!
The ribbon is a silver metallic/white ribbon. The list of supplies requested a ribbon one of the 3 colors of card stock/ink that you used. I pulled out my light Pretty Peacock blend and turned it into the color of ribbon I needed!!
Once a month a SU demo group I belong to on Facebook holds a Mystery Stamping Event. Yesterday we were given a list of supplies then today we got the step by step instructions to get creative with. It's always so much fun to see what everyone comes up with!! They are all so different because of the stamp sets and colors they chose. I went with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and Old Olive & Petal Pink for my colors. And your eyes are not deceiving you, I colored the flowers with my Stampin' Blends. Looking forward to doing it again next month!
Just wanted to share the card design from my latest Facebook Live. Yes, it uses pattern paper, something I almost always put on a card!!! The 2 white panels are popped up over a 1 1/2" strip of paper for some yummy dimension. Head on over to my Facebook business page, Linda Lou Creates, and watch how I made this card.
I'm sharing this fun sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. This is perfect because I just did a video about using pattern paper to cover your entire card front!
Here's my card based on the sketch. Well, almost, I did have to flip it!!! But I think you can still see it!!
Measurements:
Thick Whisper White card base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
Peaceful Poppies DSP - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, 4 1/4 x 1 1/2
Basic Black - 4 1/4 x 1/2
Flirty Flamingo - 3 3/8 x 1 3/8
Gold Foil - 4 x 1/2
I've been working really hard to use up some of my pattern papers. I have soooooo much of it that I need to find room for the new stuff!!! I thought it would be great to cover the entire card front and really like the way they turned out!! So much so I created a video about these cards, and you can watch it by clicking the link below. While you're there, be sure and subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss out on any new videos.
Here's a close up look at the card I created on my latest YouTube video. I've been on a kick of using up scraps as well as quilt inspired cards. This one certainly fits the bill on both!! Watch the video below and be sure to subscribe so you don't miss out.
