Springtime Foils

 

I haven't played at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge in a good long time, so when I saw this week's sketch, I knew today would be the day!!

Yes, it's very literal I know, but I had this butterfly die out from a previous project and figured I'd put it to use again. The pattern paper is a Sale-a-bration item that's free with a $50 order called Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper. I wish the camera picked up the gold and silver metallic better so you could see the shine. I used my Stampin' Blendables on the leaves and a pink Sharpie marker on the pearls. This is going to be a swap card for my SU Facebook group...so I hope none of them will be reading my blog until after they get their cards!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day

I've been struggling with a nasty cold/bronchitis and have not been feeling very creative. Thank goodness for a creative challenge on Facebook to keep me going! Yes, you guessed it, we were to make a St. Patrick's Day card. Since I don't have any stamps besides this sentiment to fit the theme, I made sure to go with the colors green and gold. The pattern paper is retired, was part of a paper pack from the most recent holiday catalog. Figured now was a good time to try to use it up!
