Simple Stamping

Stampin' Up has been challenging us demonstrators to do some simple stamping - using stamps, ink and paper. This month the theme is wedding/sympathy/baby with a bonus product of ribbon. Now I think of myself as a clean and simple stamper but with layers. So this has been quite the challenge for me to not use layers (or pattern paper!!! hahaha!)

My first card is of course a sympathy card. Initially I had the entire flower spray from the All That You Are stamp set on the piece of white but ended up smearing it. So instead of starting over again, I simply cut off the bottom and added a piece of plain white. I actually like it better because the sentiment isn't competing with the flowers this way. Now I hope the baker's twine is considered a ribbon...what do you think?
