A couple challenges popped up in my demo groups to feature retiring products. Well the round of In Colors that I like best, especially Lemon Lime Twist, were a must. So I pulled out the Flowering Desert stamp set from the Occasions catalog and went to work. Not exactly desert colors but still just as fun!! I like it so much I will be featuring this card in my May stamp camp! Hope I didn't ruin the surprise for anyone!!!

April Paper Pumpkin

Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up! is a crafting subscription kit that delivers creativity to your door every month. Each box includes everything you need to make a stunning project. This month the stamp set highlighted the distinktive style of very realistic images. As soon as the box arrive, I opened it and got to work!!

Then I came up with some alternatives:
Look at that gorgeous flower!! I stamped it using Gorgeous Grape ink. Then I flipped it over and put it on the block and inked up the "back side" of the stamp with Highland Heather. That's how I got the second solid flower layer. The leaves were inked in Mint Macaron ink and fussy cut out. I then lined them up from behind the die cut circle, adhered them, then adhered the white circle to the Gorgeous Grape scallop circle.

This card made use of the Petal Pink and Mint Macaron colors. Like I said, I {heart} this kit!!!
