Creating my own Background

It had been awhile since I've posted anything. And that's because my mojo went missing (and I'm not talking about my cat Mojo!!). I hate sitting at my desk with all these ideas in my head only to throw away what I tried to create! I find challenges help get me started back up again. This one is for the baby wipe technique - strategically placing drops of reinkers onto a baby wipe and using it as an ink pad. Well I decided to fold up a baby wipe and drop my ink along the fold and swipe it across paper to create the plaid background. I also decided to try it out on 3 different kinds of cardstock to see what results I'd get. This one I used glossy paper.

This one uses the shimmery white cardstock. Check out the new polka dotted tulle ribbon!! You'll be seeing it soon in the new catalog!!

And here is thick whisper white. It is my favorite white cardstock of all time!! I buy it in bulk (haha!!). It's perfect for card bases and anything else you want white for.

Now a few things about this technique...be prepared to end up with inky fingers!!! Also, I wish I had placed my drops of ink a little further apart so I could see more white space.

The stamp set I used on all three cards is part of the Share What You Love Suite of exclusive bundles you can order now, before June 1st when the new catalog goes live. Order your bundle before the end of May and you will receive a card kit I've created making use of this fun and fabulous suite!! Shop Now at my store.
