Hello, Friend

Wow, it's been a while since I last posted. I've been sick with bronchitis and not feeling very creative. If only this coughing would stop so I could get some sleep, I would be a much happier person!

Enough about me, let's talk about the card! The challenge this week on my SU Facebook group is to make/send a card to a friend. EASY PEASY!! I cased a card created by Gina K Designs on Stamp TV using this super simple background technique.

1. I started with a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Very Vanilla. Place it on your scoring tool diagonally and begin scoring every 1/2 inch. Flip cardstock and again score every 1/2 inch to create the diamond pattern.

2. Stamp your design. Keep in mind, stamp on the side with the indented score lines.

3. Rub ink pad(s) in your choice of colors (I used Sahara sand, Crumb cake and Pool party) directly down the paper. I started from the short side and ran my ink pad down the length of the cardstock. Continue to run ink pad from the top down only, do not also run it side to side, till you get the effect you're looking for.

4. Finish the card then send it on to a friend!!
