Make a Wish

First of all, my wish for all of you is to have a blessed Christmas and Happiest New Year! This card is actually for a challenge group on Facebook called CASE the Catty. The latest challenge (it runs for 2 weeks) is to case the holiday catalog. I loved the quick and easy card on page 44 and simply changed the pattern paper and made it a birthday card.

Here's my card close up, using Labels to Love (which will carry over to the new catalog), the Everyday Label Punch and Happy Birthday Gorgeous sentiment. This was so quick and easy to make, I ended up making 6 out of one sheet of designer series paper! I see more of these in my immediate future!!

One Sheet Wonder - Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper & Calypso Coral

Raise your hand if you're ready for Christmas!! Ask me that in a little over an hour because that's when we pick Phillip, my oldest, up at the airport. He's flying in from Denver for the holidays...hooray! He likes it when mama buys his tickets because they are non-stop!! When we are home with him, then I'm ready for Christmas!

In the meantime, I've been playing with a One Sheet Wonder challenge. We cut up one sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper and make a bunch of cards. The "recipe" I followed called for 9 cards. Well I didn't care for the other side of my pattern paper so I improvised and ended up with 11 cards! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!! This really helps because I was in need of some thank you cards.

This picture shows 3 cards using Calypso Coral as my coordinating color. Below is each card individually along with the products used.

Christmas Tag

I've gotta say, I'm not much of a tag person, but I wanted to make one for a weekly challenge I do with my Stampin' Up group on Facebook. I threw around so many ideas in my head that I had to walk away for a few days!! Tonight was it, when I finally decided to make it and I must say, I'm actually kinda liking the way it turned out!! On the tips of the tree branches, I dabbed on embossing paste then dunked it into glitter. I've said it once and I'll say it again...I HATE GLITTER!! Don't unfriend me for that, I just can't stand the mess. The deer die was cut out 3 times then layered up on itself to give some dimension. Fun challenge, took me out of my comfort zone which is why it's called a challenge!

You will find all the supplies I used below. Click on 'em and fill up your cart to make your own batches of tags!!
